Welcome to NJMMA
The New Jersey Municipal Management Association (NJMMA) is an organization of professional local government administrators & assistants whose goal is to improve the quality of local government in New Jersey through professional management. The Association creates an information network offering the free flow of ideas thereby enhancing each member’s ability to deal with the problems & pressures of the profession.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2010 Scholarships & Internships In preparing your 2010
budget, please consider participating in the NJMMA
Scholarship and Internship programs. The Association
offers scholarships to assist new members and assistants to
attend the annual ICMA Conference and the NJMMA Spring
Conference. The scholarships cover the registration
costs so the municipality must budget the other costs. The Association will
again offer an Internship Program on a matching basis to
allow a municipality to employ a recent graduate student or
one doing a “work study” component for their degree.
The preferred internship will be for a minimum of 350 hours;
however alternate arrangements will be considered. If
the municipality is planning for a longer commitment, the
Association's contribution ratio can be varied to reflect
the municipality’s increased cost (in order to provide a
“cap” exception), although the total Association
contribution at this time is limited to $3500 for one or
more internships. Details coming soon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
